Towards a More Equal Future – The Role of Gender Equality in Ending Malnutrition by 2030

COVID-19 has exposed gaps in nutrition efforts that have always required a shift in gendered power dynamics and decision-making. Put simply, good nutrition cultivates gender equality, and gender equality cultivates good nutrition. We must make gender equality the central catalyst, to sustainably improve nutrition and access to affordable healthy diets for all.

Join host Femi Oke, World Vision, as well as partners Standing Together for Nutrition, Scaling Up Nutrition, Save the Children, CARE, and Nutrition International as we look at how gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls are central parts of building back better. The event will reflect on the key gender wins from the UN Food System Summit and spotlight Member States who have risen to the challenge of prioritizing gender equality within their commitments and action plans.
